BETH DITTO X MAC
So Mac has signed Beth Ditto to create a make-up range for Summer 2012. Launching in June, I'm hoping for some super slick eyeliners, neon lipsticks and awesome eye shadow combos inspired by Ditto's signature 'whatever goes' make-up style.

YSL ROUGE PUR COUTURE GLOSSY STAIN
I came across these fabulous little tubes of joy whilst wandering through Selfridges the other week. A cross between a lipgloss and a lipstick, they feel like a watery stain when applied but quickly change into a gloss within seconds. And the best bit? The glossy stain lasts for hours!
The applicator is angled and flat for precise application - add a second coat to take your colour up a notch and the stain changes into a long lasting glossy lipstick.
YSL Glossy Stains are available in 19 colours. I had a hard time deciding which to go for but settled on 2 of the pinkier tones. I chose Rose Vinyl (15), a coral pink and Encre Rose (17), is a more bubblegum pink.
Definitely one of the best new products of 2012 - you'll find it difficult to choose just one!

GARETH PUGH FOR MAC
If you like your make-up a little bit goth and slightly mysterious then may I suggest you check out the Gareth Pugh collaboration for Mac.
The collection features make-up bag essentials including lipsticks, lipglass, pigments, liners and powder all in slick geometric packaging.
The nail varnishes are my favourite, with a deep irridescent sheen and beetle-like finish these babies are perfect for winter nails.
When it starts to get a little colder I switch my bright lipsticks to rich wine and berry tones - I'm going to layer the Gareth Pugh lipglass in 'Outrage' over my lipstick for a subtle violet sheen.

Backstage at Versace for H&M
I loved the make-up look at the Versace for H&M Fashion show which took place in New York a couple of weeks ago.

The final look keyed by make-up artist Tom Pecheux
Channeling the young Donatella, models Lindsey Wixson, Abbey Lee and my new girl crush Daphne Groeneveld were made up with smokey winged eyes and glowing skin. Nails were painted a deep aubergine colour for a glam rock and roll look.

Want to recreate the look at home for this year's party season?
1.Firstly, don't freak everyone out and bleach your eyebrows. As the main focus is on the eyes simply brush through the brows to keep them neat.
2.Taking a black eyeshadow, try 'Carbon' by Mac sweep across the eyelids starting from the inner corner and take this out just above the socket line. Blend as far out as you feel comfortable with, I would suggest stopping just where your eyebrows end.
3.Apply a highly pigmented silver over the top - apply above the lash line to just below the crease and blend out.
Smudge a small amount of Vaseline or gloss on top of the silver to increase the contrast between the matte black shadow and the silver.
4.Take the black eyeshadow just under the lower lashline and line your waterline with a black eyeliner, try 'Smoulder' by Mac. Finish with lashings of black mascara to define the eye or pop on your favourite eyelashes for extra glamour.
5.I would suggest keeping the rest of your make-up quite low key, a slick of clear gloss or a matte nude lipstick like 'Velvet Teddy' by Mac should do the trick.

CHRISTIAN DIOR COUTURE 2011
The make-up at the Christian Dior shows never fail to amaze me and the Couture 2011 show was no exception. With a total of 37 different looks the make-up ranged from full blown smokey eyes in jewel tones to sequins and coloured paper eyebrows. Love, love, LOVE.

TOM FORD BEAUTY
Argghhhh Tom Ford is set to launch a beauty range to add to his 12 private blend lip colours! Can't wait for this one. The collection will feature 132 pieces including skin care and is due out this autumn.

A sneak preview of the collection
If you haven't already tried the Private Blend lip colour may I suggest 'True Coral' or 'Black Orchid'. Wear 'True Coral' with a tan this summer and dab the darker shade onto lips in the evening for a deeper stain.

MAKE-UP PORN
Ice cream shades and bold bright colours will be a staple in my make-up bag and kit this summer. One of my favourite make-up campaigns so far this year is the MAC 'Quite Cute' range featuring mouth-watering shades of pretty candy floss colours.
MAC 'Quite Cute' Collection
Try lipstick in 'Candy Yum-Yum', a bright pink that will finish off this season's colour-block trend perfectly but will also complement a glowing golden tan. Nails get a cheeky frosting of cupcake inspired shades - 'Mischievous Mint' and 'Ice cream Cake' are on my list! YSL 'Boheme Libertine' Spring 2011
Another Summer collection I love right now is YSL's 'Boheme Libertine'. Juicy- fruit colours and cool pastels. The eyeshadow palette is a must for any summer make-up bag but I've found that I can't live without the creme blush. There are 5 shades, from a light peach to bright fushia.
I've been using 'Fushia Temptation' (above left) for the last few weeks, a hot pink colour that really makes your cheeks pop. Dab onto the apples of your cheeks with fingertips and blend up and out towards your hairline.
Illamasqua 'Toxic Nature'
The mixture of pastels, neon and nudes in Illamasqua's new collection is pretty special.
The matt cream pigments are multi-purpose and a definite must- have. Use as eye shadow, blush, lipstick and for contouring.
I also treated myself to nail varnish in 'Gamma' an acid orange perfect for the pool.
